This is our second workbook from Critical Thinking and we love it! I like that there are different sections and some repetition in each section so my child can spend time working through a concept. There's more writing/reading in this book than I was prepared for. My 5yo isn't writing proficiently yet so we are taking our time with the writing portions. Despite the surprise, I'm glad she has another avenue for practicing writing in this book.Product details

Great book.my daughter is 4.5 years old. She enjoys doing this book!!

So far we are very satisfied with Building Thinking Skills. We are just a few weeks into our schooling, and my daughter seems to enjoy the activities.
This is a quality book and a great curriculum. It is too basic for my son and I should have gotten the next level so I am glad that I got this for a good price used. We are using it for review/refresher before I buy the next one.
To complete large portions of the book, you will also need to purchase 1. ETA hand2mind Attribute Blocks Desk Set, and 2. Learning Resources Mathlink Cubes. My 4 year-old did not enjoy this book - many of the practices are the same thing over and over (like tracing a shape and coloring it in) and they are not very engaging. He preferred science kits (such as Kitchen Science and Scientific Explorer My First Mind Blowing Science Kit), jigsaw puzzles, reading comic books ("Caveboy Dave" is awesome!), and other workbooks (such as "Gifted and Talented Test Preparation Gifted test prep book for the OLSAT, NNAT2, and COGAT; Workbook...," and "Scholastic Pre-Kindergarten Jumbo Workbook").
Not worth 30 bucks! Also ypu need to buy pattern blocks with these. Totally not worth it.
So far we are very pleased with this. My daughter is in homeschool and well advanced in reading but struggling with cause and effect, focusing, and following directions. So far she not only enjoys this book but I like its content. Only has it for a few weeks, but so far quite satisfied.
