A very entertaining book, but also valuable for the serious student who wants to know more about this fascinating topic. I learned about the Viking culture, traditions, gods and legends. For example, the name “Vikings” in the original language translates as “pirate raid.” The Vikings were not professional soldiers but were warriors at heart, spending a lot of time out on the sea raiding other nations.It was interesting to learn about the Vikings religion, and their understanding of gods, the creation of the world, morality, and the afterlife. The Viking gods frequently display human-like characteristics, such as rage and vengeance. This is a book that is really fun to read, and I recommend it enthusiastically.

It is indeed a very interesting read.
Great book, very enjoyable and well written stories. I have always been fascinated by all types of mythology and am mostly familiar with Greek, however, I will certainly be recommending this book to my friends with similar interest as the stories are just as captivating.
This is interesting to read and I like the approach from the author. I like this book and enjoyed reading it but I would give it 5 stars if it would be little bit more detailled on some parts. I would Love to see more books from this author
Totally had a great time reading this book. I've always been fascinated with Vikings and its Mythology. This book totally filled my brim up with all the Viking gods and Folklord stories. I even had a quick glance on Norse tradition for the first time. This will also be a fun read to share with my kids. I really enjoyed reading it. Nice one.
This book is a brief and very readable summary of Viking mythology. It recounts the major stories in clear uncomplicated language and allows one to understand the basic components of this rich and fascinating mythology. If you want to come up the curve quickly on the subject, this book is a great start.
I've read about greek mythology, ancient mythology but never heard of viking mythology but i shall say it was very interesting and engaging to read about. Although i don't believe in these mythologies they are fun to read and watch movies about, i really hope they make movies regarding viking mythology.
Regarding the book, it was very unique (maybe because i've never heard of it previously) well written and fun to read.
The Viking system of belief, their traditions and myths are always so intriguing to me. I got answers from this book to a lot of questions that I’ve been curious ever since I learned about folklores. I am pleased with the compilation of different stories of Vikings in this book for some of them are unknown to me. For those who are new to Viking mythology, you will get to know the main Viking God’s names and learn its origin. This is an interesting book. You will be able to read some of the best legends of the Vikings.
